Stanmore Choral Society is a very friendly choir and if you’re at all interested in joining us, you would be most welcome to come along to our Monday evening rehearsals to see how you get on. You will be made very welcome and it is easy to make friends in the choir, we have a very chatty coffee break!!
The rehearsals are always very enjoyable and, although Nick, our Musical Director always wants the best from us, he ensures that there is plenty of fun as well. There is not a formal audition but after about four weeks Nick will listen to you to check how you are managing and to be sure that you are singing in the correct voice part. We are lucky in our choir that one of our members produces free practice CDs for us to use at home.
Our rehearsals are on a Monday evening at 7.45pm – 9.45pm at St Lawrence’s Church Hall, Whitchurch Lane, Edgware, HA8 6QS. Our next concert is The Messiah and rehearsals start on Monday 5th Sept 2011. Hello Ayodeji. Thank you for your message asking how to join. I suggest that you try us out first by coming along to our Monday rehearsal next week and see how you get on. We will place you next to a strong singer who sings the same voice part as you. Music is provided. We are singing Messiah at our next concert on December 3rd. Hello Rehan, there is an annual membership fee, and members are expected to buy 2 tickets per concert. Why not come along and see if you like us first, there is no obligation to join right away. Daniela
